Notes: Use moderate magnification.

Constellation: Lepus    Magnitude: 12.0    Size: 2.9' x 2.2'    RA: 06h12m09s Dec: -21°48'21"
Notes:
Spiral arms detected.


PK 190-17.1
Planetary Nebula

Constellation: Orion    Magnitude: 12.9    Size: 26"    RA: 05h05m34s Dec: +10°42'23"
Notes: No response to nebula filters.


NGC 2110
Lenticular Galaxy


Constellation: Orion    Magnitude:  13.5    Size: 1.9' x 1.5'    RA:  05h52m11s Dec: -07°27'22"
Notes:
5th magnitude star in the FOV.


NGC 1924
Barred Spiral Galaxy


Constellation: Orion    Magnitude: 13.3    Size: 1.6' x 1.2'    RA: 05h28m02s Dec: -05°18'38"
Notes:
High surface brightness.


NGC 2470
Spiral Galaxy


Constellation: Canis Minor    Magnitude: 13.6    Size: 2.0' x 0.6'    RA: 07h54m20s    Dec: +04°27'36"
Notes:
High surface brightness.


IC 443
Supernova Remnant

Constellation: Gemini    Magnitude:          Size: 50'    RA: 06h17m48s Dec: +22°49'00"
Notes: Reminds me of the Veil Nebula.

 

NGC 2481
Edge On Spiral Galaxy

Constellation: Gemini   Magnitude: 13.5   Size: 1.4' x 0.5'   RA: 07h57m13s   Dec: +23°46'04"
Notes:
Makes a double with fainter galaxy NGC 2480. Look for the smiley face asterism!


NGC 2410
Edge On Spiral Galaxy

Constellation: Gemini    Magnitude: 13.5    Size: 2.2' x 0.7'    RA: 07h35m02s Dec: +32°49'20"
Notes: Thin, located near Castor.



NGC 2613
Edge On Spiral Galaxy


Constellation: Pyxis    Magnitude: 11.1    Size: 7.4' x 1.7'    RA: 08h33m22s Dec: -22°58'24"
Notes: Mottling visible in large aperture.
